In fact, an airport, which is an aviation facility for flights and helicopters, is called an airport. Like a place to take off and land. It is certain that a province in every large area provides it. However, this airport must have support facilities such as operators, terminals and aircraft hangars.

Therefore,  if there is already a helipad and runway in any place, it still does not include the airport.   So, there are actually many runways and helipads. However, this place is still not in the airport section. For those who are curious about the list of  West Java airports, here’s the full review.

Kerthajati International Airport

Kertajati is located in the Majalenka Regency of West Java. This place is not far from the capital city of Bandung. A road trip of approximately 68 km or 4 hours. Of course, Kerajatti is a choice of many local and interlocal travelers.

For the area of the space, it must be very large. It was known as the second largest airport in Indonesia. After Sokarno-Hatta Airport. It then fell for the inauguration and the first operation on May 24, 2018. At that time, Jokowi’s presidential plane landed there. A proud achievement for the Government of West Java.

Typically, the area of the runway reaches up to 3 hectares. More precisely, about 3000 square meters. With this type of area, it is easier for Kertajati to accommodate the world’s widest Boeing 777 aircraft. In fact, it is an international standard that  west Java airports  have to comply with if they want to maintain the title of international operations.

For the passenger capacity every year before the pandemic period takes place. According to estimates, 30 million passengers travel annually. But, now it is in the time of the pandemic.  After all, a slowing economy will still affect the aviation interests of the people, both local and inter-regional interests.

Airports in West Java Chakrabhuana

Located in Sirebon, this place is a more condoengine to the regency instead of the city. Unlike Keratajati, which has a runway area of 3000 square meters. ChakrabhuVana has an area not exceeding 4000 square meters. Naturally, this is because the flights carried out there are only for a few circles.

For flight drills of visiting officers. However, there is a possibility of developing into a commercial one in the future. That means there will be local flights there. It’s only for operation, it’s mostly for smaller planes. This is because the largest aircraft is only on the C-212 aircraft.

However, its runway is adequate for the surface  . How can it not be done as there is a quality asphalt there. It is clear that Kakrabhu W Ana is a third class airport that is specifically managed by the UPT Directorate General in Hubud. The completed commercial development is only left to wait for time until the completed commercial development is completely completed.

Eventually, the transfer was made and made under official ownership of the Indonesian government. Later in 2001, the ciburium was renamed.

Hussain Sastanegara International Airport

Banda R Vayu is located in the village of Husen Sastranegara in Cisendo, Bandung City. This place is sure to be in the heart of bandung’s city. The history of taking this name is based on AURI military pilots who died during training during the Japanese colonial era. Husain Shasta, who had to die while serving in Yogyakarta.

Just like other Japanese state strategies such as BPUPKI and PPKI. It had established an imperial Japanese air and terrestrial base at Yogyakarta. So it can be understood that it is appropriate to take the name, because indirectly Hussein Sastranegara fought to liberate Indonesia.

Right now,  this West Java airport operates 10 major airlines, both local and non-local. So  for those of you who want to fly via Hussein Sastranegara Airport, which airline should be selected according to your ability. Garuda Indonesia, City Link, AirAsia, Malindo, Nam Air, Singapore Air etc.

Atang Senjaya Airport

It is one of the military airports with Type A. It is certain that this airport is of national importance. It can be said that this is the brother of Lanood Halim Perdana Kusuma and Lanus Iswahyudi. To take the name, it is certainly from the hero of the Air Force, i.e. the posthumous Lieutenant Colonel Atang Senjaja.

However, it is likely to be used as a commercial unit except for military purposes.

After all, with the creation of a new commercial airport. It can, of course, support the economic passion of the Bogor Regency Government. In addition, transportation becomes more efficient in such a way that it seems convenient to the main guests. All that remains is to wait until the airport change planning process is completed.

Sijulang Nusaviru Airport

Unlike other West Java airports, it has a small airport type for smaller planes. Its location is close to popular tourism in West Java called the Green Canyon. This may be one of the reasons why it needs to be redeveloped.   As one of the largest airports in Pangandharan, the regency government must be sensitive.

As far as the airline that has been there so far is concerned, it is Suzy Air. Aren’t you a stranger to your name? In fact, this airline belongs to the former Indonesian Maritime Affairs Minister . Ms. Suzy Pujiastuti is the sole owner of Susi Air. Travel from Nusaviru to Jakaram (Halim Perdanakusuma, Silakap).

Wait for the sequel to see if this airport will be enlarged again. But when you see the beauty of tourism in it, the Regency Government should be well aware of it. Maximizing tourism is not limited to the tourism sector. However,  in transportation to make it easier for passengers to visit.
